Self employed as independent locum consultant anaesthetist and intensivist with additional recognition in emergency medicine. Main area of work are international consultant locum assignments at hospitals of all care levels. Examples of the locum posts, covering the complete range of the anaesthestic field, are:

• Consultant cardiac anaesthesia in the UK and Germany since 2010. This includes various assignments at a major university teaching hospital, UK
• Consultant general anaesthesia and intensive Care at a district general hospital with specialized services in vascular surgery, cardiology and trauma, UK, since 2013
• Interim clinical director for altogether 17 months of a department for anaesthesia and intensive care a hospital providing supra-regional level of care in neurosurgery and intensive Care in Germany, supporting the restructuration process following death related unexpected vacancy, 2011-2014
• Consultant intensive care and occassionaly in theatre, large city hospital, UK. Repeated assignments in 2015
• Consultant ITU and theatre, large University teaching centre, Germany. Repeated assignments since 2018
• Consultant ITU and theatre in 2 hospitals with specialised services in neurosurgery. Repeated assignments since 2015
• Senior Consultant Chronic Pain covering sickness leave, Interdisciplinary Pain Centre, Germany, 2017

Beside the main work of classical interim management and teaching, there is increasing demand for perfomance of more classical consulting projects, for example consulting of hospitals with particular focus on process management, clinical and quality management, reorganisation or coaching.
